Stanley Road, Formby

Having constructed the rear extension to this property in 2010, we were invited back to design and build their loft conversion.  The Client had had work done in the loft previously, but access, rather inconveniently, relied upon a pull down loft ladder onto the landing.

The previous conversion work did not comply with Building Regulation requirements, so we carried out upgrading works, which involved the formation of a new dormer to the rear roof slope to increase headroom, structural steelwork, re-roofing, insulation works, structural floor forming a stairwell and a kite winder staircase. The installation of fire doors and smoke detectors to the Hall and Landing areas formed a protected fire escape route down to the front door.
